NAF invites medical professionals, researchers, and students from Institutes of Higher Learning in Singapore to submit innovative proposals that seek to improve the understanding, treatment, and quality of life of individuals living with arthritis and autoimmune conditions.
1. Grant Details
- Grant Amount: Up to S$20,000 per awarded project
- Focus Areas may include (but not limited to):
- Novel therapeutic approaches for the treatment and management of arthritis and related autoimmune rheumatic conditions
- Epidemiological studies on arthritis and related autoimmune rhematic diseases in Singapore
- Innovative diagnostic tools or methodologies of early detection of arthritis
- Impact of lifestyle, diet and exercise on the progression of arthritis
- Patient-centred care and quality of life research
- Rehabilitation and physiotherapy innovations
- Mental wellness and psychosocial interventions
- Eligibility: Medical professionals, researchers, postgraduate students, and multidisciplinary teams affiliated with Singapore-based healthcare institutions or Institutes of Higher Learning

- Submission Deadline: 31 December 2025
- Notification of Award: March 2026

4. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be assessed by NAF’s Medical sub-committee based on:
- Relevance to arthritis and autoimmune care
- Scientific and methodological rigor
- Innovation and originality
- Potential impact on patient care and policy
- Feasibility within the grant amount and timeline
